HYSTEROSALPINGOGRAM PROCEDURE
PREPARATION OF FOR HYSTEROSALPINGOGRAM PROCEDURE (HSG)
- The exam should take place between 7-10 days after the beginning of your last menstrual period.
- You can eat and drink as per usual on the day of the test.
- We recommend you take ibuprofen prior to the test to decrease possible discomfort.
- Please take appointment at least one day before the exam.
- Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled exam time. The study will take around 45 minutes.
- You will be asked to change into a hospital gown before the procedure. Please leave your valuables and jewelry at home.
- You may be prescribed antibiotics and pain killers for a few days after exam.
